I AM CHEF Limited (“we”, “our”, “us” or “I AM CHEF”) is committed to protecting the privacy of all users of our Platform hosted on the website https://www.iamchef.co and any I AM CHEF mobile application through which you order products and services (together, “the Website” or “the Platform“).
Please read the following privacy policy that explains how we use and protect your information. We are the “data controller” of the information you provide to us.
- when you create an Account with us or you change your Account settings;
- when you use the Services including but not limited to creating a Listing, searching for a product, placing an order and during the order process (including for payment and order collection/delivery);
- when you use any of the payment Services provided to you through the Platform
- when you contact us directly via email, phone, post, message or via our online chat function; and
- when you browse and use our Platform (before and after you create an Account with us).
- Account Information – when you sign up for an Account, we require certain information such as your first name, last name, email address, and date of birth.
- Services Information. To use certain Services (such as creating a Listing or placing an order), we may ask you to provide additional information, such as your address, phone number, and a profile picture.
- Identity Verification Information. Creating a safe and trusted environment for our Members is a priority, accordingly we may collect identity verification information (such as images of your passport, national ID card, or driving license, as permitted by applicable laws) or other authentication information.
- Payment Information. To use certain features of the Platform (such as ordering), we may require you to provide certain financial information (like your bank account or credit card information) in order to facilitate the processing of payments.
- Communications with I AM CHEF and other Members. When you communicate with us or with other Members, we collect information about your communication and any information you choose to provide.
- Supplemental Profile Information. You may choose to provide additional information as part of your profile (such as gender, preferred language(s), city, and a personal description). Some of this information as indicated in your Account settings is part of your public profile page, and will be publicly visible to others.
- Contact’s Information. You may choose to import information from your contacts or enter your contacts’ information manually to access certain features of the Platform, like inviting them to join I AM CHEF and become part of your network.
- Other Information. You may otherwise choose to provide us information in a variety of different ways and at different times such when you update your Account, respond to surveys or requests for informatiion, post to community forums, participate in promotions, communicate with our customer care team, share your experience with us or use other features of the Platform from time to time.
- Geo-location information. When you use certain features of the Platform, we may collect information about your precise or approximate location as determined through data (including your IP address or mobile device’s GPS). Most mobile devices allow you to control or disable the use of location services for applications in the device’s settings menu.
- Usage information. We collect information about your interactions with the Platform such as the pages or content you view, your searches for Listings, orders you have made, and other actions on the Platform.
- Log data and device Information. We automatically collect log data and device information when you access and use the Platform, even if you have not created an Account or logged in. That information includes, among other things: details about how you’ve used the Platform (including if you clicked on links to third party applications), IP address, access dates and times, hardware and software information, device information, device event information, unique identifiers, crash data, cookie data, and the pages you’ve viewed or engaged with before or after using the Platform.
- Cookies. We use cookies and other similar technologies when you use our Platform, or engage with our online ads or email communications. We may collect certain information by automated means using technologies such as cookies, web beacons, pixels, browser analysis tools, server logs, and mobile identifiers. In many cases the information we collect using cookies and other tools is only used in a non-identifiable without reference to personal information.
- Do Not Track Signals. While you may disable the usage of cookies through your browser settings, the Platform currently does not respond to a “Do Not Track” signal in the HTTP header from your browser or mobile application due to lack of standardization regarding how that signal should be interpreted.
- Payment Transaction Information. We collect information related to your payment transactions through the Platform, including the payment mechanism used, date and time, payment amount, payment instrument expiration date and billing postcode, PayPal email address, IBAN information, your address and other related transaction details. This information is necessary for the adequate performance of the contract between you and Us and to allow the provision of the Services.
- Third Party Services. If you link, connect, or login to your I AM CHEF Account with a third party service (e.g. Google, Facebook), the third party service may send us information such as your registration, friends list, and profile information from that service. This information varies and is controlled by that service or as authorized by you via your privacy settings at that service.
- Your References. If someone has written a reference for you, it will be published on your public profile page with your consent.
- Employers Program. Businesses and other organisations that sign up on the Platform products may submit personal information to facilitate management and create a network including their employees. In the event you do not wish to participate in such a scheme you may elect either not to create an Account or delete it.
- Referrals. If you are invited to join our service, the Member or person who invited you may submit personal information about you such as your email address or other contact information.
- We may receive information about you and your activities on and off the Platform through partnerships, or about your experiences and interactions from our partner ad networks.

- conduct security investigations and risk assessments,

- comply with our legal obligations,
- resolve any disputes with any of our Members and enforce our agreements with third parties,
- enforce our Terms and other policies, and
- in connection with the activities above, we may conduct profiling based on your interactions with the Platform, your profile information and other content you submit to the Platform, and information obtained from third parties.
- send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising, and other information that may be of interest to you based on your preferences (including information about I AM CHEF or partner campaigns and services) and social media advertising through social media platforms such as Facebook or Google),
- personalize, measure, and improve our advertising,
- administer referral programs, rewards, surveys, sweepstakes, contests, or other promotional activities or events sponsored or managed by I AM CHEF or its third party partners,
- conduct profiling on your characteristics and preferences (based on the information you provide to us, your interactions with the Platform, information obtained from third parties, and your search and booking history) to send you promotional messages, marketing, advertising and other information that we think may be of interest to you,
- enrolling in an email subscription will not affect the frequency of administrative emails that we may send in connection with any Account. No fee is charged for sending promotional emails to you, but third-party data rates may apply. Note that you may not be able to take advantage of certain promotions if you do not have an Account, and
- invite you to events and relevant opportunities (for example, when you share your Host story, we may use the information provided to reach out to you to invite you to relevant events).

- When a Diner submit an order request, certain information about you is shared with the Chef (including your profile, full name, and other information you agree to share. When your order is confirmed, we will disclose additional information to assist with coordinating of the delivery.
- When you as a Chef has confirmed an order, certain information is shared with the Diner, such as your profile, full name, phone number, address and other information that may be necessary or appropriate
- Parts of your public profile page, such as your username, your Listings, your location, are publicly visible to others;
- Listing pages are publicly visible and may include personal information;
- After completing an order, Diners and Chefs may write reviews and rate each other. Reviews and ratings (unless specified otherwise) are a part of your public profile page and may also be published in other areas of the Platform;
- If you submit content in a community or discussion forum, blog or social media post, or use a similar feature on the Platform, that content is publicly visible.
- We may display certain information on sites operated by our business partners to market our services. If your Listings are displayed on a partner’s site, information from your public profile page may also be displayed.
- Information you share publicly on the Platform may be referenced through third party search engines.
- Payment providers including online payment and credit card processing providers and fraud detection providers;
- IT service providers (including cloud providers): for the purposes of data storage and analysis;
- Third party delivery providers so that they can fulfil your order, be made aware of any food allergies you have volunteered to tell them about, resolve issues, or improve their services;
- Customer support partners: who will help us to resolve any issues you may have with our services;
- Social and other networks – we may allow you to link your IAMCHEF Account with third party social networking services. Your activities and profile information on the Platform may be displayed on such third party sites; and
- Marketing and advertising partners: so that they can ensure that you see advertising which is more relevant to you and send you email and postal marketing on our behalf.
- if we are under a duty to disclose or share your information in order to comply with (and/or where we believe we are under a duty to comply with) any legal obligation or regulatory requirement. This includes exchanging information with other companies and other organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and prevention;
- in order to enforce our contractual terms with you and any other agreement;
- to protect the rights of I AM CHEF and any partners, suppliers, Members or associates;
- with such third parties as we reasonably consider necessary in order to prevent crime, e.g. the police.
- The right to be informed. You have the right to be provided with clear, transparent and easily understandable information about how we use your information and your rights. This is why we’re providing you with the information in this policy.
- The right of access. You have the right to obtain access to your information (if we’re processing it). This will enable you, for example, to check that we’re using your information in accordance with data protection law.
